Hell Yes.

The concert yesterday was absolutely amazing.
Really, words cannot describe.

Cold War Kids were really pretty good.
I'm a huge fan, but I always think that their stage presence is lacking.
They played a bunch of new songs that no one had heard, so they didn't really give the audience a lot to be excited about.
Don't get me wrong, I think its great that artists are able to showcase their new material to a live audience.
But when over half of your set is stuff that your fans have never heard, it doesn't make for a very lively or memorable show.

Beck was definitely the highlight of my day, my week, my month.
We easily managed to get a front-row dancing position, which was much more than I could have asked for.
He was absolutely brilliant.
He played almost every song that I wanted him to and he even covered Bob Dylan, which was beautiful.
He is, hands-down, the coolest motherfucker in the world.
His live show was energetic and perfect.

Finally. Radiohead. OMG.
Well, I learned a few things about Radiohead last night.
Most importantly: they have many, many tall fans.
Seriously. I don't think I've ever felt so short in my entire life. It was bizarre.
But they were great live. The stage visuals were the best I've ever seen, and there were a few moments when I forgot that I wasn't on drugs.
Honestly, being in the middle of a swaying crowd chanting "This is what you get, when you mess with us" was one of the most surreal experiences of my life. For a minute there, I lost myself.
However, the weirdest thing about the show was that the sound went out not once, but twice.
Completely.
I could see Thom singing his heart out, but the only thing I could hear were the jeers from my fellow audience members.
But then he was back on, singing and laughing.
Thom Yorke has got to be the most adorable performer I've ever seen.
"Somebody spilled beer on the plug!"
And when he messed up one song he started giggling and started over... So cute.
Not to mention his wonky eye. I think I'm in love.

So, in a word: AWESOME.
People bum-rushed a fence and it took us an hour to get home to my house, five blocks away, but it was bloody brilliant.

And right now I'm listening to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers playing live outside my window.
Perfect.
