The coldest winter

I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.

That doesn't have anything to do with anything I wanna talk about except that I think that's the truth.
Only now the weather is changing and even the Sunset District gets to see the sun shinin'.
I keep forgetting that it's kind of warm here and nothing is air-conditioned.
So I walk out of my house wearing a sweater only to become really annoyed later when I'm hot and I can't take my sweater off because this shirt makes my shoulders look fat.
Not really.
Kind of.

Anyway.
Kai(better known as The German) and I broke up on Sunday.
And I know I haven't really talked about our relationship on this blog, but I thought I should let it be known that we're no longer boyfriend-girlfriend.
We are still friends.
I still think he's a wunderbar guy.
I also still think he's crazy.
We talked for a while on the phone tonight and it made me very proud of both of us for being so good about this whole 'breaking up' thing.
So, that's about all there is to say about that.

I've been a little sick lately. I'm not happy about it.
I don't think that I do a very good job taking care of myself when I'm sick.
Because I just never seem to get better.
I think that's one of the things that either my mom forgot to teach me, or I forgot to learn.
This cold doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

I really hope I feel a little better tomorrow.
Because tomorrow will hopefully be the apex of the year.
Or at least the apex of August.

Tomorrow I'm going to the Outside Lands Festival in Golden Gate Park.
There's a ton of great bands playing, but I'm definitely most excited about Beck and Radiohead.
Ohmygawd.

I'll be sure to let you know how that goes....
but I'm pretty sure we all know how it's gonna be.
