Down to the River.

Back in Riverside.
It feels alternatingly wonderful and terrible to be back.

I might get a new car.
my mother is kind of crazy, but I can't really blame her.
my father is definitely crazy, he has no excuse.
and I still really love my brother and sister.

I've been hanging out with Gaila nonstop.
We've seen Indiana Jones and Iron Man so far on our quest to watch every summer blockbuster we can afford.
I forgot how boring Riverside really is.
I mean, really guys.

Indiana Jones was really disappointing. Because there's nothing worse than an ancient Harrison Ford jogging slowly, telling you that knowledge is treasure, battling Communists and inexplicable native peoples, and reminding you to stay in school, kids!
And, really, ALIENS?!?! Come on...
But the scene with the huge ants...awesome.

As for Iron Man, I can't really complain. It delivered what it was supposed to: an Iron Man. And it was pretty funny even though I couldn't really get over Gwyneth Paltrow as a firecrotch.
There were a lot of crazy exploding things, which I am a really big fan of.
And there was a real patriotic almost anti-war sentiment to it.
Except for when it pretty much characterized all Middle Eastern people as war-mongering terrorists.
I was way disappointed with the severe lack of Black Sabbath in that soundtrack.
I mean, you never even got to hear the lyrics of "Iron Man."

And that is my life in a nutshell.
