Yesterday was probably the best Sunday I've had in an especially long time.
Cassie and I went down to the Mission where we ate amazing felafel for $2.
Then we went to this big thrift store where I bought a sweet Giorgio Armani sweater for $3.50.
Cassie bought a $350 camera for $59.
pretty much the best thing ever.
then we bought some avocados and pop-tarts at a little market.
and then we went to another thrift store and bought some more clothes.
and journeyed over to Rainbow Foods, this vegetarian organic supermarket.
it was pretty sweet and I'll definitely have to go back some time when my bag is not already full of second-hand clothes.
lastly, we ate at Weird Fish, this tasty little underwater-themed restaurant.
the waitress was such a sweetheart, and the place certainly captured my heart in its fishing net.
But, before we could go to Weird Fish, we had to figure out what the address was, so that we could walk in the right direction.
We decided it would be a good idea to call someone who would be near a computer and could easily google it for us.
Turns out no one wanted to talk to either of us at 6:30 last night.
I called my mom, then my dad, then my sister, Hannah.
None of them picked up.
I put my phone back on silent.
But then we got through to Gaila, who helped us out.
Over the next few hours I got about 8 missed calls from my mom, dad, and/or sister.
They thought I had been kidnapped or something and that I had called all of them because I was about to be locked in a refrigerator or something.
So, they worried collectively for about 4 hours while I ate and meandered about and waited for a train and waited for a bus and walked home and sat naked on the computer and showered.
Then Cassie informed me over Facebook that my family was kind of worried about me.
So, I called them back.
Man, was my mom pissed.
I think, at that point, she kind of wished I had been tied to a couple of cinder blocks and dropped off the bay bridge.
But, she was kind of glad I was alive. Or at least she was glad that I had returned her calls.
and that was my Sunday.
To make up for all of my activity yesterday, I've spent the last 7 hours wandering aimlessly around my room or pretending to be in a coma on my bed.
and this is my Monday.
sometimes I really love my life.
